It's funny but my usual routine after seeing a movie is looking it up on tvtropes.org.
I quite enjoyed this movie (
nqn you were right!!). It was so obviously made by nerds. INITIATING COFFEE BREAK! XD So I guess I'd like to take back some of the
things I said about it before.
But... I understand that
some things were probably made in the
Rule of Funny but I could hear Winford rant in my head half the time they tried to explain the invention. Funny or not, but food made of water (!!) with microwave (!!!) radiation is a bit too much for me.
That was the only thing that bothered me because everything else was quite nice and geeky.
And funny too - honestly, it had so many jokes that some of them were ACTUALLY REALLY DAMN FUNNY, not the usual movie "look look we've made a funny" kind of jokes. And it IS one of the best disaster movie parodies I've seen. I can't wait for the DVD (or a good torrent if Sony fails to release a dvd with an English audio track here like it was with Open Season, you hear me, Sony?!) And I'm getting an art book (ordered it before seeing the movie, actually). 8D
And... I kind of really wish voice translators like that were a real thing.
