One of my former students is at UW this fall, wants to know if it's worth buying all the ancillary stuff that goes with James Stewart's calculus textbook for their Frosh calculus class. Advice?

Recently, we've

-purchased a tandem bike
-rode said bike to gelato several times, with one or two toddlers
-taken salsa lessons
-gone dancing
-kept the house reasonably clean
-had a wonderful time
-slept a little
-finished weaning.

Life's been great. Busy. Hectic. Sometimes stressful. But great.

We moved into a house with kuddliphish and maxemulien and their wonderful daughter Raine. Living with them is like no cohousing experience I have had yet to date. Today we rode our bikes (with Caleb's trailer) to the farmers' market, then took a detour home through campus, a covered bridge, and a park. On our way there, the folks rebuilding the roadway stopped traffic so the bikes didn't have to share the one lane with cars. Yaay bikes!
