This was a really good year! yuletide is wonderful every year, but I feel like the general caliber of the stories was even higher than usual, this year -- I just kept being impressed and delighted and falling in love all over again. Unsurprisingly, this list is pretty bizarre. I have many, many tabs of stories still to read, and whole fandoms (Haven, Vorkosigan, Once Upon a Time, Swordspoint, Temeraire, Hark! a Vagrant, all of the inexplicable Peter Pan stories...) that I haven't touched, yet; I also haven't looked at other recs. Last night, after I got off work, my cousin and I re-enacted that scene from Fellowship of the Rings where the fellowship trek uphill in the mountains in the snow, carrying hobbits.
