HELLO YULETIDE WRITER. Thank you so much for sharing one of these obscure fandoms with me! My first priority is that you have FUN writing for me! Any story you want to write in any of these fandoms will make me happy, so if there’s something you’ve been dying to write, please take this opportunity to write it - I will love the story, as long as YOU love writing the story!
As you know, all optional details are optional. I try to offer fairly detailed prompts because I am the sort of writer who likes detailed prompts, but if you find that daunting or distracting, please feel free to go your own way. Here are some things I tend to enjoy:

- history, storytelling, and narrative self-awareness

In general, I am pretty relationship-focused, but this year all of my requests are also especially interested in the worlds of these fandoms, and I would love a story that expands and explores those universes - as well as the characters and their relationships (sexy and/or otherwise). Interesting relationship dynamics and found families are my bulletproof forever loves. I care a lot about canon, but that doesn't mean you have to treat the canon - or actual history, in the case of at least two of these fandoms - with reverence. I like plot, and I like sex and romance that is integral to the plot, but I also enjoy genfic, and sex is not a requirement in any way! I like dialogue, and people who are too smart or witty or dangerous for their own good, and moral ambiguity. I enjoy spot-on character voices, and interesting details. I like humor, and realism, and the fantastic, and the ridiculous. I like queerness. I like fannishness. I like revenge, and people who fight (and/or commit) crime. I like laughter in the face of despair. I like things that are bittersweet, and happy endings, and sad endings, and the inevitable.
There are not a lot of things I really dislike, but I would prefer that you avoided rape, noncon, and torture. I don't respond well to characters becoming objects of ridicule for no reason, or to pointless meanness - call it an embarrassment squick. I am pretty quickly turned off by major stylistic and grammatical errors, and unexplained and/or irregular POV switches.

You should feel free to write about any other characters you want - including original ones! What I would like most is a story about a previous pantheon. Maybe the one in the 20s, or one at some other point in history. There are so many unanswered questions in the universe of this comic, and I would totally love it if you tried to answer some of them, however you would like! I am especially fascinated by Ananke, who seems terrifying and possibly evil, and I requested her because she is the one who has been around for all the different pantheons, and maybe (or maybe not) has all the answers - though I imagine she’s not in any hurry to disclose them. I’m also super interested in the phenomenon of the pantheon as a fandom, and as a field of academic study! And Ananke is around all the time, isn’t she? Even between pantheons? What is that like? Basically: go to town on this universe! (If you want to stick with characters who appear in the comic, I am also especially fond of Cassandra.)
I’ve been reading The Wicked + The Divine in trades, which are only collected so far through issue eleven. I am not super fussed about spoilers, though, so if you want to use material from later issues, that’s completely fine! I may also try to catch up on the single issues before yuletide goes live.

Look, I just have a lot of feelings about CASH SLASH.
Okay, but seriously. I have shipped Hamilton and Washington for decades, probably, and the musical has brought all of my feelings back to the surface and completely revitalized them. You can go any way you want with this: straight-up porn, no porn whatsoever and just a lot of feelings (they care about each other so fucking much), something that’s tightly in the universe of the musical, or something that plays around more with history - there was probably a lot of huddling for warmth at Valley Forge, I’m just saying. Also, all those years after the war when they were trying to build a country, and when Washington was President and Hamilton was Treasury Secretary! Or the INCREDIBLY EMOTIONAL AND POLITICALLY COMPLICATED THING that was Washington stepping down and his farewell address! THERE ARE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES. I am very much here for poly Hamilton (and poly Washington, for that matter), so Hamilton/Laurens and Hamilton/Eliza and Hamilton/whoever and Washington/Martha (and Washington/Lafayette, let’s be real) or any other ships you want to include are totally welcome. You should also feel free - if it’s your thing - to play with the Washington and Hamilton power dynamics. Generally I am not that into daddy kink, but this is one of those cases where, you know…well. Let’s just say, I think the canon supports it kind of...a lot, and that gives me some feelings. ("CALL ME SON ONE MORE TIME.") So if that's your thing, go to town! I don’t really want anybody cheating on anybody else (canon situations excepted), or anybody badly negotiating their kinks (though kink negotiation AS a kink is one of my favorite things), but other than that, most anything is fair game. More than anything else, I think, the thing I love about this relationship is the level of trust and love Hamilton and Washington both feel for each other, despite (and possibly because of) being such very different - and complicated - individuals, and despite (and possibly because of) sometimes getting very frustrated with one another. I may also have a lot of feelings about America.
The Hour
Freddie Lyon, Bel Rowley, Hector Madden, Marnie Madden
I will probably never forgive the BBC for cancelling this show. I would love futurefic, something set after the end of season two. Obviously Freddie survives (I’m not strictly opposed to character death, but in this case, PLEASE GOD NO). So how do Freddie and Bel go on from there? What happens with Marnie and Hector and MARNIE’S BABY? My deepest desire is for a poly family futurefic with all four of them working things out, somehow, together, and probably with a lot of complications. But any version of the four of them, as colleagues, friends, lovers, family, occasional enemies, etc. would be wonderful - in any combinations and formats. I want them to be happy; at the same time, though, one of the best things about this show is how embedded it is in history, and I want that history to be present in fic, too. News! Politics! Daring feats of heroism that tend to end badly! Domesticity! Investigative journalism! Cooking shows! Crime! The 1960s! There’s so much to work with, here, and to be honest, I just want more of the story.
Bad Blood - Taylor Swift (Music Video)

I really love friends to enemies to lovers stories, and friends to lovers to enemies stories, and enemies to friends to lovers stories, and just about any iteration you can imagine of the enemy love story thing; so the whole revenge narrative of this video really worked for me, and it is practically begging to be a whole show or movie - or at least, to have a lot more world-building and character development. I kind of assume Arsyn and Catastrophe are in love, which is why the whole betrayal thing is so terrible, and results in them going to war with all their lady assassin friends. But please go in whatever direction you would like, here! What’s the backstory? What happened? What happens next? Any development you want to do of the other characters - especially Team Taylor - er, I mean, Team Catastrophe - and their world would be amazing.
(By the way, this is also a good fandom if you matched with me on something else and would rather not write that, after all. Since it’s a music video, the canon is pretty short - even accounting for all the movie posters and behind-the-scenes and Taylor and everyone else talking about filming the video.
