One thing I have learnt after parenting 3 children: they thrive on routine and predictability. They like knowing what comes next and they function a whole lot better when they get enough sleep, food and play time. And that, in turn, makes my life a lot easier ( Read more... )

The truth is, I haven't been getting much rest since Foops went back to work and plunged right back into his busy work schedule.

New babies are a lot of work and even more so when you have two other young children running amok underfoot demanding for your attention all the time.

I meant to post an update of our daily schedule before Sean's school hols started but never got round to finishing it till now.

We have a few changes coming up in the new year so I thought it would be nice to capture our daily routine so that I can remember how crazy life was like with a 3.5yo and a 10 mo somewhere down the road :)

Because we have many changes in store for the coming new year, I thought I should document our typical weekday snapshot of our lives at this very stage before it changes all over again. For the record, Sean is 28 months old.

0630 My alarm goes off. I turn it off, wake the husband up and crawl back into bed for a few more minutes of shuteye.

In our home, weekday evenings are exclusively Mama and Sean times.

Now that he is more cognizant of our daily schedules, he has taken to waiting for me at the gate with the house key in his hand. It's a very cute sight to return home to :)
