The government under Stephen Harper seems determined to have an election.
Instead of waiting for the Afghanistan bill to be presented in early March they have moved up the Budget date(by close to a month). Stephen Dion has stated that if the Budget is unacceptable they /will/ defeat it, and thus confidence in the house will have been lost. ( Read more... )
