Just so you know, I've saved your "Need" as a TXT file and plan to load it to my Kindle shortly. I will be back to comment (probably on the weekend) after reading it!

I'll be looking forward to your commentary! As for your fic, I'm looking forward to reading it. I'll probably be doing so on the weekend, as well. I have so much going on since tomorrow is the last day of school and graduation is going on tomorrow! It's been a hectic week!

Oh, by the way, I made slight changes since you made that comment, but nothing too big, just changing a word to something that sounded better, etc. =)

I did get a chance to read your "Need" on my Kindle during dinner between commitments on Thursday evening, and yes, I spotted the typos that you doubtless corrected after I downloaded the file. :-) The reading experience was fine, though; no worries ( ... )

As to why Urs is acting this way, to put it simply, I read her as someone who now understands herself a bit better because of "Heart of Darkness," but that the episode didn't provide her actual growth. After all, many people understand why they feel or act a certain way, but that doesn't mean it changes anything. In Urs' case, she no longer wants to die, in my opinion, but that doesn't mean she is happy either. As a matter of fact, I see Tracy and Vachon's constant interactions as the catalyst for her need to share her burdens with someone and a source for pain. (Another parallel for Nick and Urs in this story. Natalie hurt him, like Vachon is hurting her.) My view is that "Hearts of Darkness" occurred early in season three and since that time Vachon and Tracy have come to interact a lot more by "Sons of Belial." It's given Urs a lot of opportunity to see how Vachon has changed and is developing through his relationship with Tracy. I tend to think it would leave her a little sore that Tracy could cause such a change whereas she did ( ... )
