Just like the previous three trips, the week leading up to crew change day has a grim looking weather forecast. Just in case anyone should ever ask you:

1) Lower back pain is not at all pleasant.

2) Heavy seas causing objects that are not well stowed to crash about is annoying.

3) The combination of items 1 and 2 above at the same time seriously sucks rotten eggs!

OK, so what is up with this South Atlantic weather forecast???? About midnight tonight we are supposed to have 6 meter maximum wave heights. The weather is supposed to slowly drop and be down to about 4 meter maximum waves by noon on Monday. Helicopter number 3 just turned back because the boat was rolling too much. Chopper 4 has already left and if it lands, I will not be on it when it leaves. Unlikely previous crew changes when a helicopter didn't make it, off signing crew for chopper 3 will still be on the third chopper to land. One of these days I will learn to quit looking at weather forecasts the week leading up to crew change!  With crew change due on Wednesday, even the optimistic weather guesser is calling for 5 meter seas all day on Wednesday.
