Well, that was a lot of worrying over nothing. The truck made the trip without a twitch. The girls behaved and endeared themselves to everyone we met along the way. All the paperwork was signed a day early since we got here sooner than expected. And the house is about what I expected.
The packout arrived with nothing missing and no breakage. I'm still unpacking and settling in, which will probably take me most of the winter, but that's fine.
The house is cozy, meaning it's smaller that the Ramona house. But smaller is easier to heat and clean, and there were rooms in the Ramona house I didn't use, including a whole bathroom, so smaller is better.
So, I survived the trip and am starting a new chapter in my life.
