Still alive!

I know, right? A little over three years since my last post. Weird circumstances caused me to check in here and I figured I'd toss something out to whoever still follows me.

First the one bit of bad news. I lost Chloe, one of my German Shepherds, to inoperable brain cancer almost exactly a year ago. She started having seizures in December of '18 that medication seemed to keep in check. On March 23 the seizures started up again no matter what or how much meds we tried. The only choice was to have her euthanized. I had enough time to spend loving on her and making her happy before she crossed.

Speaking of dogs, Lila is doing well, but she's getting on in years. She still wants to act like a puppy most days, but her arthritis reminds her quick enough to slow down and be careful how she moves. She on joint supplements and anti-inflammatories and is pretty happy and comfortable.

I'm doing okay myself. I've even started drawing again if you can believe that! Retirement is what you make it, so I keep active with bicycle riding and working out 5 days a week. I still do archery on weekends, weather permitting.

At the moment Lila and I are battoned down in the house with 5 weeks worth of supplies that we can stretch a couple more weeks if needed.

Stay safe and sound out there.
