lol she talks so much shit yet she wants to stay in the company. why not have the girls file to terminate their contracts and then move to a new label? guess she still wants those sweet hybe connections

i feel sorry for illit the most. it's not a coincidence this started as soon as they announced their comeback. i just know mhj is pissed magnetic did better than all of nj's releases this year

that's a very good point. If Hybe is so horrible why not just ride out the contract and leave? And I'm sure a bunch of internal and external collaborators and staff would leave with her too...

I don't think she wants HYBE's connections. HYBE is the one calling her connections to get them to work for their other groups and fail at that. After all, HYBE took her in to steal her know-how and business contacts.

I think she wants to maintain ADOR's stock value so that she can leave with millions... in two months. But she's losing money if everything falls apart before that date.

you think the five of them got brand ambassadorships almost immediately after they debuted thanks to mhj only? not to mention the extensive playlisting newjeans get on spotify, they were on tth longer than some of bts songs. as far as we know hybe only wanted to work with the dolphiners guy, what other mhj connections did hybe want?

i doubt ador's stock value will freefall by november. she can easily ride out her contract.

She knows they don’t have grounds for termination and would be stuck paying hefty penalties to terminate the contract early. She won’t be able to take the girls and start a new company with that kind of debt.

That's if Hybe would even let the girls go. idk I get SM vibes from them with how Hybe's handled this. Maybe more so Attrakt/Fifty Fifty with how petty they are being? Hybe will be keeping the girls in the dungeon until their contracts run out. There will be no EXOdus for these girlies.

That's not going to be easy. Breaking off a contract is very hard. Those idol contracts are pretty iron clad and most of the companies would rather just put an idol or the group in the dungeon than letting them go. And the courts usually side with the companies because the bigger ones have ties to the government. tbh I can only really think about Hyuna and Dawn when thinking about people who successfully left a big company ( ... )

most of the companies would rather just put an idol or the group in the dungeon than letting them go.This is the part that makes me wonder how many NewJeans fans are new kpop fans vs fans who have been around for more than a few years. Groups get shelved (or stuck in the basement) all the damn time. Fromis_9 was shelved for over a year before their recent comeback (something that only happened because the group and fans fought for it). A lot of the arguments from people online (not necessarily here but on Reddit, etc.) in favour of NewJeans being able to break their contracts come off as very naive when you look at the kpop industry as a whole. The intentions are good, but the reality is very different from what people seem to be imagining ( ... )
