I haven't met a single woman, who hasn't been groped at least once in their lives.

I was about to say I hadn't been, and then immediately remembered three incidents I'd obviously decided to block out.

Every woman I ever met who said she hadn’t would then, as the group continued talking about it, come out with some story where it was plain she had. That’s how normalised this shit is

I don't even go to throw the trash out when it's already dark (we have this little building with trash cans where everybody from my complex throws their trash out and I wouldn't want to be trapped with somebody while it's dark).

And I live in a relatively friendly neighbourhood.

no it wouldn't be safe and if something happened to you you would've gotten the "well...you DID go out alone at midnight, so..." attitude.

I often think of how nice it would be to go for a walk during the night in the summer but I doubt I'll ever dare to.

"I’d just rather not stand in front of a group of men naked"

Yes. Male directors who require a lot of nudity from the actresses they are supposed to "direct" are almost always pervs. God, I always remember the shit Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux had to go through while filming La Vie D'Adele. *shudders*

Yep, I remember hoping there was an intimacy coordinator on set for Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan during the unnecessary, graphic scenes in Ammonite.

I also always think about Ruth Wilson's interview from a couple years ago about The Affair.

"Still, insiders cite a number of issues that created discomfort with some of the cast and crew. For example, “There sometimes were people there who didn’t need to be, or the monitor was in plain view,” explains one. Another on-set source reveals that there was a complaint raised after a monitor was left on during an on-location shoot that made a sex scene visible to someone not involved with the production. Insiders attribute many of these issues to the fact that Showtime did not begin employing an intimacy coordinator, an on-set job that’s become more common in the #MeToo era, until the show’s final season ( ... )

Every job but my current one I've been harassed in some way and it sucks.

but there’s a curfew for women and there always has been

God yes. I would love to go grocery shopping late at night to miss crowds but am terrified of doing it alone and know if anything happened to me I would be blamed for being out late.

The only times I'm ever out late it's with a group of friends and i just know the reason we don't get harassed is because some of them are dudes.

Im so tired 😫
