She is such an incredible, determined woman. I hope her life bring her nothing but happiness going forward.

My heart goes out to her and all of the victims of this terrible man.

I’m crying. The DV helpline in the UK was one of my most valued resources when I was married

I like how Gayle framed the questioned and then how Twigs answered it.

It was interesting how original statement made it look like he was accepting~ the abuse he was accused of but then "He denies the allegations. His lawyers said the actor "denies, generally and specifically, each and every allegation" in the lawsuit." show he's real feelings.

Gives a nice-looking PR statement but then with the actual facing consequences portion....cowardly denies everything like a true abuser.

I agree re: Gayle's framing of the question.

The sad thing is that the mainstream media still thinks that it's a valid question to ask, so Gayle's approach felt like a very purposeful move to give the public what they expected, but pose it in a way that Twigs was set up to really firmly dismantle it from the get-go.

And her response was absolutely everything.

I get why the question is asked because it's easy to think that way when you're not in that situation. This if off but its similar how to when you're watching a horror or survival film and you scream at the character "OMG YOU IDIOT DON'T DO THAT!! RUN!! LEAVE!! GET OUT" or "Pfft what and idiot I wouldn't have done that!" but like lol you don't have to time in a life or death situation and it's only a few people who can activate that fight or flight response instantly.

But interviewers can be callous about that cause they would just randomly ask actresses if they had be been harassed or assaulted during the metoo movement on the spot. Obviously the curiosity runs through the mind but thats not really fair to the person who may have been assaulted and now you're triggering them on the spot.

Oh, man. Completely.

The interviews shown in the Britney doc were sobering, and when everyone was like "man, the media was so awful back then...", I was a bit like...yeah - it was. But specifically referencing your point about the #metoo stuff - putting actresses on the spot about potential abuse - I'm also like...have we learnt a whole lot since then?

Apologies if my original point read like I was saying "it's really great Gayle asked that question!" because I totally co-sign your stance that it's completely inappropriate!
