i'm updating again - sound the trumpets. i'm sitting at work; i have next to no productivity. i feel like i did when i was interning a couple of months ago - i can't seem to focus and i can't seem to do work. i feel bad about it a bit, but not entirely. i do need to get more to do though, i need to be useful and i need for it to make sense for them to pay me.
i'm taking off some days soon - we have july 4th off (i need people to see fireworks with, let me know if you are interested), and then i'm taking off the fifth to relook at this apartment that i like, and then heading to an orthodontic consultation that afternoon (i will have my wisdom teeth extracted sometime this summer). on the 21st and 22nd of july, i'm taking time off to attend the falcon ridge folk festival in eastern ny. that should be a blast - i'll be with courtney and her crazy fun crew.
i spent last thursday looking at apartments, and, as i said, i saw one good prospect. it is in a little place known as ellis hollow, roughly six miles from cornell. the apartment is a smallish one bedroom, with a good-sized kitchen, a large bedroom, a tiny bathroom, a minute living room, and parking. it costs $400 a month including utilities, a price that can't be beat in the ithaca area. cortlandites had better visit me down in ithaca this fall.
i spent more time drinking this past weekend than i should have - i spent friday visiting a couple small establishments in southern onondaga county (namely the lafayette inn and noxie's [in pompey]). i hung out with beth and then samantha (haha, sam is quite amusing to hang out with when she's drinking). on saturday, after work at the pizzeria, i headed out to armory square with jennnnnnnn. we had a drink at kitty hoyne's and then went to meet people at clinton street pub. i ran into my cousin, who i failed to recognize. it was a pretty fun night, although jen was quite sick by the night's end. i slept in most of the day sunday, worked at the shop for a bit, cleaned my room and paid my bills. fun times.
hmm, what else? if you are bored and looking for something interesting to read (haha, since obviously this isn't going to satiate the need for interesting reading material), check out
the post secrets website. also, check out aaron karo's (author of ruminations)
website. he's an amusing writer with a relatively witty outlook on life. another blog of interest (shown to me by jennnnn) is at
syracusesingle.
this computer won't allow me to preview my posts, so, if these links don't work, just let me know nicely.
i hope all is well with everyone.
