The Warrior with No Name may be a trilogy after all... XD
The Warrior with No Name
The Basis:
1) introduces the world, the characters, etc. and starts off the "epic".
2) focuses on the relationship developing between Piotr and Kitty (and why not? they're awesome)
3) Illyana, the timejumping sorceress (by mechanations not her own) has/will disrupt the time stream and has/will cause dire circumstances for all involved (because I'm dumb and a glutton for punishment).
4) The paradox (as yet unrevealed-cuz I haven't written it yet) in the surprise (or not so surprising) ending of the Warrior with No Name will be hit upon in the upcoming story The Daughter of Time
The Daughter of Time
Originally, I wanted to do a fun romp through Hell (wow, that sounded bad...) in a She-Ra/Maureen Burnbaum:Warrior Swordsperson-esque style, but fantasy reeeally isn't my forte. So I got to thinking about some of the stuff that I've written in Warrior. And realized all the damn plot holes that I created... o.O
The Basis:
1) Focuses on Illyana as she battles demons internally and externally (been done, yes, yes, I know, but give it a chance)
2) Explores Piotr and Kitty's growing love for one another and introduces the fact that Pete Wisdom married a fairy and did not die (drama, drama, drama)
3) Explores why Ogun was attracted to Kitty's soul in the first place. He did possess her twice in Warrior. (this may or may not have been done in mainstream comics, but I can't rem.)
4) Why was there an M-day in Warrior? What if that was caused by the Overlord because mutants or superpowered beings are "scary" to the Overlord (or something that will sound much, much better when actually written properly--brainstorm and all)
5) The LightChylde. The Darkchylde. The Cat of the Shadows. Destiny's books explored. Why/how did the girls unleash the first batch of demons?
6) The Paradox explored. What if Illyana couldn't fix it and another timeline (the alternate BattleWorld scenario on Genosha) is created? What if Illyana didn't know that her jumping back and forth was royally screwing things up? What if she didn't realize that she was being manipulated to screw things up? What if she did know and could do nothing about it? These questions explored.
7) Who is the Overlord of Limbo? It was specifically made vague in Warrior as I had intended the Overlord to be someone other than Belasco (was going to decide with this story anyway). What if the Overlord was the Cat of the Shadows? What if the Overlord is the corrupted form of Kitty herself? Illyana's struggle to save Kitty in the timeline just got that much more dramatic.
8) Still working on other elements, but this is enough to start

1) Basically a "Save Kitty" story that I really haven't even begun to flesh out yet - by the time I get this far, things may have changed yet again...
2) The X-men at the end of the Daughter of Time must save the timeline by "fixing" the alternate BattleWorld scenario (Genosha)
3) Kitty is not with the X-men, but Piotr falls for the alternate Kitty anyway (that sounds squicky, but my gears are working, promise) and yeah, that's a plot device. I won't lie. :D And alternate Kitty is the crux. Her death reverts the timeline back to normal. Or something like that. Still working on it. I have to finish the first "book" first. XD
