Real world issues and comics
Given worrisome trends I feel like I had to exercise an extreme amount of restraint not to go off on certain posters at a particular comic community who felt like sharing their less than favorable thoughts on abortion. Oh, it was relevant to the comic scans, a character had an abortion (a rarity in and of itself in the comic world), and all things considered it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but I've had a hair trigger lately when it comes to anti-choice rhetoric. I typed out a response about half a dozen times, only to backspace when I considered how people would likely complain about it being an 'attack.' Guh. I suppose I'll stick to passive aggressive posts in my journal.
I'm concerned about the upcoming election in Canada, considering a conservative majority seems increasingly likely.
Other than that, things are fine. I haven't been feeling all that well (sore throat, and just under my jaw line is oddly tender and painful), but I'm happy for a four day weekend. I'm intent on finishing my third Dragon Age II play through sometimes in the next few days. I still need my 'canon' game.
