Yucky GI stuff & More
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. It's been harrowing times for me lately. I had a colonoscopy last Tuesday (which meant a liquid fast followed by a laxitive purge all last Monday - YUCK). I survived the colonoscopy, but the IV is killing me. STILL! Yes, I still have pain in my arm from last week's IV! I've been to prompt care and they told me that nothing's wrong - that his is normal. You know, I've never had an uncomplicated IV - I almost died from my first one (wrong medicine). No wonder I'm scared of them! Unfortunately tommorrow I have another GI test I have to undergo, this time for my gall bladder function. And, yes, I'll be receiving another IV!!! Dang it!
Well, on the weight loss front, I'm still doing well. 9.8lbs. down from my highest weight. Yipee! Amazing, given the colonoscopy and everything. I hope to receive my 10lb. star this week at weigh-in. Wish me luck! And my hubby is really close to his 5lb. We might both get awards this week - that would be cool.
On the job front, it's still totally sucking! My Halloween is ruined - I'll be meeting with my boss that day to discuss my "options" - like quitting, termination, etc. Lovely. I have until Monday the 5th to give them an answer. So basically I'll be out of work starting next week. Some small part of me is releived (cause this job blows monkey chunks) while a larger part of me is totally freaking out financially - I own a house in my name AND I'm the major breadwinner. It's going to be a sparse holiday season I'm afraid. :-(
