 God, I want to go back to New York. I feel like I'm treading water by staying in California. Central Park is living behind my eyelids, I see the skyline whenever I close my eyes.

I know I'd miss California before I could unpack, but I feel like a year in NYC would be good for me. Or something.

So my favorite thing about this time of year is Desert Bus for Hope, a charity event for Child's Play. Basically, a group of Canadians from a sketch comedy group (Loading Ready Run) and some of their associates play Desert Bus every year. So every time I feel jaded about the internet, that nothing exciting and unexpected can happen, it does something awesome and surprises me.

Yeah, I found out that there is a Old Spice Man kink meme and my life is better for knowing it.

So I'm eating waffles for breakfast because I have new east coast imported maple syrup (fuck yeah) and watching old BSB and Nsync VMA performances (because that is how I eat my breakfast) and I had the realization that the '98 VMA performance of Everybody was 12 years ago.

At which point I felt old and brittle and decided to go back to bed.

I can't even handle the weather lately, I'm the opposite of the wicked witch -- sunlight makes me melt. It's fine for the most part since work only requires me to go outside to cross to the other building, but... fuck. I just feel TERRIBLE whenever I'm outside. Absolutely terrible. I feel like the one person on the planet not to 'get' the 4th. Exploding things is fun, sure, but... I don't know. Everyone seems to have exciting plans, and I just never have.
