Japan Was Right

Another entry in my Heaven and Hell verse.This time Linkara and Spoony go traveling and meet another angel fighting against the spawn of Hell. I had fun writing this, since I really like coming up with stuff for this universe. I am pretty much mixing stuff from manga and anime about demons and angels, as well as Western stuff, so it's a big mish-mash.

I feel it's okay to label a fic as slashy as long as one of the male characters is interested in another male character and wants to get with him. So I'm always going to label these as slash since they focus on Spoony's lust for Linkara, and his uncertain feelings about Spoony.

Also this chapter includes tentacle-porn. Consensual tentacle-porn. Yay?

As Linkara sat polishing his gun, which was sadly not a euphemism no matter how much Spoony wished it were, the black-clad devil was lounging a few feet in the air beside him and trying to come up with a plan to capture the guarded angel’s heart. Being as clever as he was, Spoony naturally was bursting with ideas of how he could convince Linkara to give in to the world of carnal delights he knew all too well; however, Spoony was also an easily distracted creature of the underworld, and as soon as these ideas entered his mind they were obliterated by fantasies of said carnal delights.

Spoony was swept up in a particularly enjoyable imagining of him, Linkara, several feet of chains, and a bottle of honey, when a piercing collection of beeps brought him crashing back to reality, as well as the ground.

“What the hell is that?” he asked Linkara as he rubbed the sore spot on his bottom caused by that ungraceful landing.

“A distress signal,” Linkara said as he quickly reached into his jacket pocket. He pulled out a silver communicator and pressed a few buttons before speaking into one end. “Hello, this is Linkara! How can I help?”

“Linkara, mate, it’s Suede,” a panicked voice with a pleasing New Zealand accent replied. “I’m in real trouble here and need assistance as soon as possible!”

“What’s the trouble?” Spoony noticed Linakra was already reaching for his weapon.

“Three massive demons are tearing up the countryside here! There haven’t been any casualties yet, but I’m afraid of what will happen if I don’t stop them before they reach somewhere more heavily populated.”

“All right, Suede, I’ll be right there.” Linkara looked down at his communicator. “Good, I have the coordinates for where Suede’s been stationed.”

“You guys get stationed here?” Spoony asked. Linkara nodded.

“Every angel sent to Earth is assigned to a certain region of this planet. I’ve currently been assigned to monitor the mid-Western part of the United States with a few others, but thanks to this crisis, we have authority to travel into other regions to assist angels in need.”

“So it must have been fate that I just happened to land right in the middle of your assigned region,” Spoony said, his sly smile returning as he leaned in close to Linkara. “I think this bodes well for our future together.”

“Here.” Linkara shoved a scrap of paper into Spoony’s face. Spoony blinked and read what was scrawled upon it.

“What do all these numbers mean?”

“You know how to teleport, right?” Linkara asked. Spoony quickly nodded, always pleased to reveal more of his amazing abilities.

“Good. These are the coordinates for where Suede is stationed. Teleport there and meet us as soon as you can.” Spoony’s expression fell.

“You mean you aren’t going to carry me across the ocean in your masculine arms?” A vein in Linkara’s temple throbbed and Spoony realized for the first time that angels must be capable of bleeding like humans. And devils.

“Just get there and meet us as soon as you can.” Without offering anything else, Linkara muttered something under his breath and vanished in a burst of golden light.

“Wait, I don’t know all the coordinates for this fucking planet!” Spoony sighed in frustration when he realized he was alone, and quickly set off for the nearest town. “This Internet the humans keep talking about better be as fantastic as they claim.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spoony finally arrived at the correct location fifteen minutes later. He had managed to sneak into an empty house and find a computer with ease, but he was quickly distracted by the multitude of naked people so easily found with just the click of a button. After engaging in his perversion for several minutes, he finally brought himself back to reality and checked the coordinates.
“Okay, I’m going to the countryside of Kyoto, Japan.” Spoony imagined the lush, sprawling lands and appeared in the middle of a forest within seconds. “Now, where has my darling angel gotten to?”
It only took a few minutes before Spoony heard the roars of angry demons and the sounds of trees being uprooted before they crashed to the ground. He hurried in the direction of the carnage and quickly came upon Linkara and Suede doing battle with three massive beasts.
“Honey, I’m here!” Spoony called out with a smile as he floated over to join the angels.
“Watch yourself,” Linkara ordered. He was holding his Heavenly Gun tightly in his hands but hadn’t fired it yet, seemingly happy at the moment with observing the monsters.
“Another one?” Suede asked as he turned to Spoony with a look of horror. He was another handsome specimen that Spoony wouldn’t mind getting to know better. The suede jacket and gloves he wore over his robes looked very sharp, as did the silver katana he kept clenched in one hand. “And you know him, Linkara?”
“Don’t worry about him, Suede, he’s under my control,” Linkara said, turning to give Spoony a stern glance. “Remember our agreement and obey me, devil.”
“Of course, my dear angelic master,” Spoony said as he made a sweeping bow before them. “I will gladly obey just like a loyal dog following the commands of his master. I just hope this means I get a treat afterwards!”
“What does that mean?” Suede asked, giving Spoony a suspicious look.
“Nothing, he just likes to say stuff like that,” Linkara tried to dismiss. Spoony did notice that his cheeks were slightly red though, and felt a thrill of glee pass through him knowing he had caused that. “Devil, stop messing around and give us information on how to stop these three.”
“As you wish.” Spoony turned his attention to the creatures and studied them. They were massive in size, probably as big as blue whales, but reddish-violet in color and with structures more similar to jellyfish. They also had tentacles. Many tentacles. Many long, rubbery tentacles reaching out in all directions and dripping viscous fluids all over the place. They were currently busy with trying to uproot every tree, bush, and shrubbery growing in the area, and happily ignoring the angels who were planning their strategy.
“I still can’t believe these things exist,” Suede said, turning back to Linkara and looking distraught. “I wanted to be assigned a region in Japan because I’ve studied up on it so much, but I never imagined these… these nightmares from the most depraved hentai created were real!”
“Oh, so angels read porn now?” Spoony asked, giving Suede an impressed look. Suede quickly scowled and blushed.
“I’ve done extensive research on all aspects of Japanese culture, which happens to include materials of a more risqué nature! I did not read that filth by choice!”
“Hey, no need to get so defensive,” Spoony said, still smiling. “I admire an angel who is more in touch with his… sensual side.”
“I am not!” Suede persisted before pointing his katana at Spoony, his cheeks bright crimson. “Linkara, make your devil stop spouting lies!”
“Spoony, behave.” Spoony turned back to Linkara and grinned playfully.
“Yes sir! Now, would you like to tell me how to defeat these Lust Devils?”
“Lust Devils?” Linkara and Suede looked at each other in surprise. “Have you ever heard of those?”
“Nope. You?”
“Not at all.”
“Don’t they teach you anything about us up in Heaven?” Spoony teased. “Some devils embody the spirit of the 7 Cherished Sins-”
“You mean the 7 Deadly Sins?” Suede asked. Spoony rolled his eyes.
“Right, sure, everything from Hell is deadly. Whatever. Yes, the 7 ‘Deadly’ Sins,” he continued, using air quotes for emphasis.
“Certain devils embody these sins and use their power to influence humans up here. Gluttony Devils influence humans to eat, Sloth Devils to do nothing, Wrath Devils get humans pissed off, and Lust Devils-”
“I think we get the idea.” Linkara looked down, embarrassed, and Spoony stopped. Normally he enjoyed making the angel uncomfortable but there was a time and a place for such things, and standing in front of three tentacle-monsters was not either of those.
“So, what are these demons’ weaknesses?” Suede asked. Spoony thought for a moment.
“Hmm. I don’t know too many Lust Devils, and those I do know don’t have many weaknesses. They just love having sex, or causing others to have sex, and if they can’t do either, they get destructive. Like these three are right now.”
“Nothing we can do then. We’re going to have to charge them and hack, slash, and shoot the buggers until we’ve got them under control.”
“Yeah, you-wait, what?” Spoony turned to Suede and realized he was already charging toward one of the creatures, his blade held high above his head. “What is he doing? Linkara, you have to-”
“Okay, I’m going in.” Linkara aimed his gun at one of the creatures and fired off a shot of golden energy. “Spoony, just use whatever offensive abilities you have and do the best you can. This will be dangerous and most likely time-consuming, but if we can hold out long enough, more angels may be able to arrive and back us up. You’ll have to hide if that happens, but I’ll let you know when the coast is clear.”
“Would you let me talk for one damn second?” Spoony asked, swiftly growing annoyed with Linkara. “If you’d listen, I could-”
“We don’t have time to talk, Spoony! We need to subdue these beasts now before they do serious damage!” Without giving Spoony a chance to respond, Linkara took to the air and started firing more rapidly at the monsters. They growled unhappily at the sudden influx of magical energy bullets and sword swipes, instantly turning their attention from pulling up the vegetation to trying to capture the angels in their slippery grasps.
“Damn it, Linkara! You have to listen to me some of the time!” Spoony sighed and took off running until he was directly in the middle of where the tentacle-beasts stood. “Oh boys!” he shouted upwards in a booming voice, trying to catch their attention. “Your friend Spoony is here! While you may not have had the pleasure of making my acquaintance back home, today’s your lucky day!”
“What in Heaven’s name are you doing?” Suede paused from his attempt to pull his blade from a tentacle to stare at Spoony.
“Oh, I’m not doing anything in Heaven’s name,” Spoony replied with a wink. “Now boys, I have had a very tiring time during my stay on Earth, and I could really use some stress-relief right now! So come on over and start doing what Satan intended!” Spoony spread his arms and legs wide, and wiggled his fingers up in the air. The Lust Devils had stopped their destruction of Japan’s countryside at the sound of his voice and were now focused only on him.
“Spoony! You can’t be thinking of doing what I think you are!” Spoony glanced up where Linkara hovered several feet above him and smirked at his expression of horror.
“Don’t you know by now, sweet angel? A devil’s always thinking of doing that! So come on, boys, come and get me! I promise you an experience you’ll never forget!”
“Spoony! Don’t do this!” Linkara tried to fly down to him, but he was quickly swatted away like a fly by several dripping tentacles. Linkara managed to avoid crashing into a grove of trees, but by the time he’d regained his balance it was too late.
Spoony had been lifted high into the air. His body was entirely wrapped in slimy tentacles that stroked, squeezed, and soothed every inch of skin they could find, which must have been all of it, judging by the torn T-shirt and jeans lying on the ground below.
“Oh… y-yeah...” Spoony moaned, his body flushing as the tentacles continued their stroking and probing. His breathing became harsh and ragged, and his body was soon slick with sweat. Even from his position several feet away, Linkara could witness every single thing that happened to the devil. Or more like, he was unable to tear his gaze away from watching what those creatures did to Spoony.
“Linkara!”
“How is it possible to bend that way?” Linkara blurted out before looking down at Suede, who was now giving him a confused expression. Linkara blushed and quickly asked, “What is it?”
“We have to attack now! Your devil is sacrificing himself so that the Lust Devils aren’t focused on us, so let’s get going before they’re finished with him!”
“Right!” Linkara cleared his mind and steadied his hands. He soared behind one of the creatures and blasted it in the back of its head with his gun. He and Suede were able to take out the other two in rapid succession, and soon enough the ground was littered with limp, sticky tentacles.
“Thank the Heavenly Father,” Suede said as he bound the creatures’ limbs so they could not attack if awoken. “I was certain we’d be fighting these beasts for ages. Thanks so much for your help as well, Linkara, and if that devil of yours was awake, I’d offer him gratitude too.”
While Suede chatted, Linkara made his way over to where Spoony lay. The devil had passed out sometime before the last of the trio was stopped, and now he was sprawled upon the grass completely naked and covered in a number of substances Linkara did not wish to touch. While keeping his eyes averted as best he could, Linkara chanted to create a black cloud and allowed it rain all over Spoony. Then he chanted again and peeked a little as the grass wove itself around Spoony’s body into a simple robe.
“There, that’s better.” Linkara turned his gaze back to the remains of Spoony’s previous outfit and shuddered a little. “I’ll have to ask him to burn those after he wakes up. I wonder how long that will take. I know if it had been me, I’d be asleep for a long time. He might want something to eat or drink after he wakes. I should find something for him.”
“Linkara? I’m making the call now.”
“What?” Linkara whirled around to find Suede watching him curiously. “Oh, right, calling for assistance with those three? I guess you can take it from here now, Suede, so we’ll just be on our way then.” Linkara bent down and pulled Spoony onto his back as he spoke, trying to pretend this was the most normal act in the world. “If you ever need help again, you can always call on me.”
“And on your devil, I assume.” Linkara paused briefly before answering.
“He will be assisting me until we have every demon back where it belongs.” Linkara glanced at Suede then, noted the smirk he wore, frowned, and flew away without another word. Suede watched until he was no longer visible in the sky.
“I don’t know what you’re thinking, Linkara. But I hope you’re careful.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spoony awoke a few hours later, when the sun had set. He was lying on the ground, which was normally where he slept anyway, but he was covered with a jacket for some reason this time. A familiar brown jacket that had the delicious aroma of angel upon it.

“Linkara?” He tried to sit up, but quickly stopped as he realized how sore his body was.

“Spoony?” Linkara came out of his tent and went to stand by Spoony’s side. “How do you feel?”

“Like shit,” Spoony admitted with a chuckle. A frown appeared on Linkara’s face.

“I thought as much. Do you need a healing spell?”

“No, no, don’t waste your power on that,” Spoony said, shaking his head a little. “I don’t know much about angelic magic, but even I know that healing spells take a lot of you. I’m a fast healer anyway, so after a good night’s sleep I’ll be good as new.”

“Are you sure?” Spoony’s face lit up.

“Are you worried about me, honey?” Linkara resisted rolling his eyes.

“Of course I’m worried. You almost got yourself killed today. How could you… how could you do that, Spoony?” Spoony merely laughed, which seemed to unsettle Linkara.

“If I hadn’t done that, you and that angel with the pretty voice would have been killed for sure. I’m surprised Heaven didn’t teach you more about the enemies you’re supposed to be capturing. Lust Devils only respond to sex-if you’d known that, you could have made a better plan than simply charging them, weapons a-blazing.”

Spoony expected some sort of witty retort or argument from the angel, but instead Linkara just stared down at him with those wide, blue eyes. Spoony stared back, enjoying how he had Linkara’s full attention for even a moment.

“So… are you sure you’re all right? You’re not… hurt or anything?” Spoony couldn’t help laughing again, even though he was certain this was not how Linkara wanted him to respond.

“From that? No fucking way. I’ve paid to have weekends like that.”

There was another moment of silence and Spoony started regretting his joke.

“Look, Linkara, I’m seriously fine. If I weren’t, you’d know it, because I am nothing if not pissy when injured.”

“All right then. I’ll leave you to rest.” Linkara turned and headed back toward his tent. Spoony watched him retreat before looking down again.

“Hey, you forgot your jacket!”

“No I didn’t,” Linkara replied as he slipped inside his shelter. “Thanks for what you did today, Spoony.”

The tent zipped closed then so Linkara missed the expression of delight that crossed the devil’s face as he pulled the jacket more closely around his body.
