I hate Delta Airlines!

I should be in New York right now. But I'm NOT!!! First of all, our flight was delayed out of Dothan. Our flight was delayed out of Atlanta too so we hoped we could make our flight to Syracuse, NY. We got to Atlanta according to them, 2 minutes late, the plane was still sitting there, attatched to the gate, and they gave our seats away! They over-booked the flight so they started giving seats away as soon as possible. This happened to hundreds of others on tons of other flights and I swear I'm not exaggerating. My parents stood in line for hours trying to get us a new flight. The best they could do was the day of Christmas. Plus they were incredibly rude about it; the man my father was speaking with said: "You should be happy I'm helping you!" I was thinking what the hell, it's your job to help us and especially when you screwed us over in the first place. We ended up renting a car and coming home last night, getting home at 2:30 in the morning. We have to drive back to Atlanta tomorrow at 4 in the morining, maybe earlier, to make our flight to NY. Delta just keeps getting worse and worse, they're going bankrupt so everything is going to shit. My Dad was telling us how when he used to fly with Southwest if something like this happened they would pay for a hotel for you or at least give you a big discount on a rental car and that is mainly because things like that rarely happened. There were so many people sleeping in the airport, it was really sad. This really should not be happening. It's the job of the airline to get people where the need to go. Especially during the holidays when people should be with their families. They need to organize or do something so this doesn't happen. I know the holidays are a hectic time and things go wrong but this seemed worse than usual.
