OIcontest 4: Theme

The new challenge, for OIcontest #4, is Icon Pairs.

Everyone who enters must submit two icons in the same comment. Those icons will be judged as a pair. There are no other restrictions. (Keep in mind, though, that your icons should be somewhat able to stand on their own: voting will be done in pairs, but when the entries are put up for grabs ( Read more... )

Thanks! It's been done before, but never for so broad a contest as this (from what I've seen, though I could be wrong). There indeed are some nice entries so far: I'm enjoying seeing what people can do with such an (arguably) odd theme.

Sure, it's fine if the two pairs are in two different comments. Just make sure there are either 2 or 4 icons per comment. :)

o.k. I'm definitely considering this, but I need some clarity on things...
1. How do you post icons in a comment? I think I may have just figured it out, but please respond anyway just in case.. (is the image src.. the tag for posting images?.. if so what goes between the quotations?)
2. and the URL.. is the address for where the actual icon is stored??

Sorry, I'm new at the whole contest thing.. I'm not REALLY new to making icons.. just to making "good ones"..

No problem!

OK, here goes:

The tag for posting images online (which you use for comment images) is (img src="http://www.host.com/imagename.extension") except change the ()s to < > s. For example,

(img src="http://www.parthenos.net/oi4/two1a.jpg") (with <>s instead) gives you
... )
