OIcontest 4: Theme

Feb 01, 2006 17:39

The new challenge, for OIcontest #4, is Icon Pairs.

Everyone who enters must submit two icons in the same comment. Those icons will be judged as a pair. There are no other restrictions. (Keep in mind, though, that your icons should be somewhat able to stand on their own: voting will be done in pairs, but when the entries are put up for grabs people will be able to nab single icons.)

Please enter your icons side by side in the order you want them on the voting post. Submit them to this post, giving me both the image (the < img src = "" > tag) and the URL (http://www.____.__/_____.___). You may enter up to 2 pairs (AKA 4 icons).

Cartoon images, comics, fine art, photographs, anime screencaps, movie stills, abstract doodles: it's all fair game. The icons should probably be related in some way (color, style, subject), but as long as you submit two icons in the same comment, I won't be disqualifying any entries.

This is another of the jcontest-style viewers-pick-the-winners contests. Everyone will vote on the winners via poll, with such categories as Best Show of Emotion, Best Coloring, Most Creative, and Best Use of Text. Designers are allowed to vote, too, but our votes count exactly as much as each of yours do.

Submit all entries in comments to this post (please, don't submit as a comment to another comment) by 4 PM PST Wednesday, February 15. Thanks!

Also, don't forget to vote in the Viewers' Choice component of OIcontest #3!
