(no subject)
Went out a while ago to the race-course where the Olympic Torch had been brought into Durham, and watched as the guy ran through the crowd and lit the Cauldron.
Absolutely shit weather, of course. Hadn't quit raining since the morning, but expected nothing more from Northern weather. But after the torch had been lit and all photographs had been taken etc. the sun came out from behind the clouds and the sky went a brilliant, stunning blue, and we had a double rainbow appear and it was lovely for a little bit, and everyone kind of just stopped the mad rush to move places and looked up at the sky with closed eyes to bask in the sunshine before it started raining again. I kinda love how much everyone loves the sun here. It's a lovely love to share. I never thought I'd grow to love the sun as much as I do. I know that when I go back to Singapore I'm going to start bitching about it, but I'll enjoy it indecently anyway.
Got my hands on a limited edition coca-cola bottle which could only be gotten at the torch ceremonies, and a union jack flag, and a picture of me carrying the torch. xP
It was a nice day, despite the shite weather.
And then me and KB had a very graphic discussion about sex and kinks. Never done that before. Tried to convince her to stop asking LS about her boyfriend. I mean. MYOB. Apparently KB's been feeling left out and ignored since LS has started spending so much time with her BF, but considering he's her first BF/Kiss, I guess it's understandable?
Idk.
I think it'll do us all good to go home.
Still worried about exam results.
Also, just realised this is my first post after Eurotrip 2012. Durham sweet Durham! More details later, when I'm less sleepy.
