Today I am thankful for the opportunity that roleplaying games afford me to be creative with my friends. I like the ability to play pretend, even though I'm grown up and stuff. It's very relaxing and an excuse to hang out with friends.

Today I am thankful for a website that I found a few years ago: FlyLady.com. Showing me that I was not the only one in the world with a cluttered home made me feel worlds better. Today I am thankful for the quiet times--those few moments each day when I can just be. I don't get many of them, I realized, but they are lovely, especially when I'm outdoors. A moment of sunrise. The splash of cherry blossom color against a grey sky. They are moments of centering calm in an otherwise hectic day.

Today I am thankful for my job. I am not always happy with my job, but I am happy that I have a job. I enjoy supporting an organization that helps children and families in need.
