You know something is right about school when the questions on your exam review make you smile:
10. You have a microphone connected to input 4, and you want that microphone to be recorded as is, but you want to hear what effects 3 would sound like on that microphone. You also want that microphone to go to input 5 with effects 1 and 2 recorded with it. You also want that microphone to go to input 6 with effects 4 recorded with it.
...And then I can ask a geeky question like: Are the connections normalled or mult-normalled together? And ask if I can throw in the ability to let the monitors hear what effect 6 sounds like without it being recorded on the track. *ooooooooooooo*
