AX Sunday Report
Haha today was Shinku day. I bothered Nessa & her group to change in their room again (thanks again you guys!! maybe next time I can actually room with you!) I am SO much happier with the redone wig and it got compliments ^^ The shoes are so so painful though, even with inserts. It's the toes. Long Beach was significantly cooler so I really didn't die until after the gathering. ^.^; Here are some solo pics that John snapped of Shinku:
Well it took me so long to get ready and walk ALL the way over there that I totally missed the CLAMP gathering at 10AM. Shame. :( The boys were off at another One Piece panel. I met Stargun, dressed in full pirate attire, from the Hobbyists Paradise forum! Who I did not recognize but recognised me from my cosplay pics ^^ And then I met this awesome Suiseiseki and we just got to chatting and I hung out with them. More rennies! We kept getting stopped for pics...yes our whole motley group. o.o

At 1 I had a photoshoot with Consplayers which I was really looking foward to, cause I want pics in my Shinku costume and have such a hard time getting photos. But I waited and never saw anyone who looked like they were looking for me. ::shrug:: Next time I'll make sure to get a phone number. :( I have a feeling we were just waiting at different spots.
At 2 was the Rozen Maiden gathering. Not a grand time for a gathering when half the costumes are velvet and all of them are heavy dresses. =.=;; But it was really fun!! We had practically all the characters!! =D Eh pics are worth more than words.
This Jun was totally sweet. And we both brought tea cups!

Yes, let's tear Shinku in half! This show gives you a whole new reason to be scared of dolls. Mean little buggers!!
Midgets. 8D Risquecutie showed up late but we were all so happy to have Hina!

It's cool how all our Shinku's were so different. ^_^
I had to change out right after the gathering. I hate to walk around "naked" so early at a con. ;.; I really do. I checked out the "Project Cosplay" out of curiousity - I was expecting something funnier and wasn't really thrilled with it but it was cool to see other people at work on their costumes and I think it would be awesome to show someone who doesn't understand cosplay at all. =D And...there was Matt Miller. shh.
AT AX, WE WAIT IN LINES! =D IN THE BURNING SUN.
We got pizza (again) and sat down for the masquerade with DA & Haruharu. We had not-so-great seats on the side but I could still see. You're pretty much screwed if you don't get a hotel the way they do ticketed events. D: I was amazed that it started on time. o.o There were some really great costumes this year! However technical difficulties were rampant and I got tired of the same damn jokes from 300 used over and over between skits. I find that I don't appreciate most dialogue skits and I'd rather see choreographed ones or just something different. Either a) I can't hear all the dialogue or b) I can't hear ANYTHING or c) I don't get it at all cause I haven't seen the series - which IMO means it's a bad skit. Everyone should be able to get something out of it. But overall it was entertaining, and good or bad, I just like to SEE the masquerade, you know? It sucked at the end how they had to rush announcing the winners and I couldn't tell who got what though. Kyle Hebert was great too XD Can't say the same for the other MC, I've never liked him. Also, I really wanted to punch the chick in front of us who kept putting a cat plushie on her head. NYU SMASH.
I wish I could have been part of the Utena awesomeness today. ;.; But I only found out a couple days before the con that everyone was doing Utena on Sunday and it was already Rozen day for me!

Breathlessaire's Yuuko is so awesome!! And her Watanuki too! This is the one I wanted to do but I decided it doesn't really suit me and she did such an awesome job, doubt I can top that!
Bubblegumgeisha's Power card - Sumomo sure does resemble the Power card a lot, eh? xD Hmm CLAMP....
