Can someone explain to me what this new Steampunk movement is all about? I remember hearing about it a few years ago back when it just started to gain traction, but when I went to Louisianime last weekend, there were SO MANY steampunk folks. And they looked awesome! Another thing that happened last month, during my no-internet period, was the annual Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. It lasts for about 2 weeks each year and this year I actually went to some of the things.
