Rant
I have a problem with a particular inconsiderate smoker. I don't object to being around a limited amount of second-hand smoke, but when it starts to hurt my lungs and the person smoking *knows* this but keeps smoking because it is his right/his house etc., it makes me angry. Then he goes on to infer that I have some sort of weird problem and I should me more easy-going about it. Mate, you're hurting my flipping lungs. Hear me coughing and watch me standing by the open window? That isn't because I dislike the smell of smoke, that isn't because I'm trying to avoid a cancer risk, that's cos I've got flipping asthma.
I've already let him know this sort of thing by the way. I needed to let off steam.
Luckily for me, my asthma is pretty mild, and I've never been hospitalised because of it. Heh, roll on July 1st... I'll happily meet him for a coffee in an enclosed public space :p
