Thoughts post family get-together and a meme
Before I went to AJ's, I decided that I wouldn't tell her about either my name-change or my gender struggles. She will hopefully be at the handfasting... all of the other people there know about my new name and many of those planning on coming know about my gender issues. I'm scared of her rejecting me (unlikely) and I'm scared of her interrogating me and taking a while to accept my new name (likely). I've got her email address, so I could just write her a letter and send it off. I think that would be the best bet; I would keep a large degree of control there.
Good stuff: I went shopping, and I bought nice stuff. Spinach, ginger, lemon, dog's lead (no, I don't own a dog), kitchen equipment. I went to Woolworths and the big supermarket and *no panic!!!* Yay me. I am exhausted now, as my meds keep me doped at this time of day; fee is looking after me :-) I did housework earlier (a fairly rare event) and found out about my council's big and heavy refuse collection service. They are going to collect my old, broken sofa for free (I'm not re-cycling it folks; the frame has collapsed).
