Last Friday, I got that slightly-stuffy, fuzzy-throated feeling that usually precedes a head cold. I worried that I'd be sick on Saturday and unable to take kiddo to the fair. My ex-wife and I went to court today for a case management conference. For those of you lucky enough to have never divorced, this is a brief court appearance to determine what you disagree on and what you need to resolve it. One of my dogs has arthritis, and the other one is at risk for it, so we give both of them glucosamine supplements (plus other gunk). I ran out of the stuff, and unfortunately I got to the vet just after they closed tonight. I tried one of the local pet stores, which had a ton of different arthritis treatments. I got my sutures out today. The periodontist tells me that the unexpected pain I was feeling is probably just irritation from the sutures, that it should subside quickly now that they're out. If not, I'm supposed to call him for better drugs.

Wouldn't it be nice if all pain were that easy to fix?

The good: Apple replaced my daughter's phone at no cost. It was still under warranty, and the tech determined that the crack in the face was unrelated to the malfunctioning touchpad. Win for us.
