Okay, listening to your Mum crying in the other room and not being able to help cos she's drunk so there's no chance of getting through to her has to be about no.1 on the depressing scale. But hearing your parents screaming, as you sit listening just KNOWING it'll be two weeks tops before your Dad leaves again is a close 2nd.
