I've put off updating my journal for the past few days, even though there was a lot that I wanted to share. I wanted to be sure about some of the details before I told everyone. Of course, I'm pretty sure that most of the people that read this journal will already have been told.
A few days ago I mentioned to my friend Holly about how I'd been browsing for apartments in San Francisco, and it just so happened that her roommate had told her that very morning that he was moving out. Need I say more? Oh, okay. If you insist.
I'll be moving into my room in the middle of next month, though I don't know the exact date. I've already arranged to be transfered to the Barnes and Noble in San Francisco, which should start on the fifteenth. They're giving me a bit of a raise as well, so hopefully I won't have to go looking for a second job. The rent for my room is pretty reasonable I think, but it'll take some budgeting. I can't wait to start meeting some more interesting people. Maybe I'll find some people to jam with. I miss being in a band. And I think Holly is going to be a great roommate. I'm usually a bit cautious about rooming with friends, but I think that we'll be pretty good about giving each other space if needed, and not stepping on toes. We'll have tons of fun. Of the thirty-nine roommates I had while I was out in Provo, the only one I became good friends with was Devon. I've always gotten along well with whoever I've lived with, but for the most part, getting along well was just not fighting, and not caring too much about what the others were doing. I really think my new apartment in S.F. will be a lot of fun.
I can't wait to have a bit of space to call my own, complete with a little place to paint, or play my guitar, or study, if I so choose.
