donations away!
Okay, I made my birthday donations. I was going to do six of them, but two of the comics I was going to donate to didn't work out well (short story: no donation buttons and huge fanbases, so they don't seem too hungry right now). So it turned out I donated to four, but honestly, these are my top four reads right now. I could have split it evenly but I decided that two of them are more struggling and less well known, so they could use the extra tip in the jar. So here's what the breakdown was:
$30 each to The Wannabe Pirates and The Final Fantasy 6 Webcomic (ETA: the creators of TWP sent me a thank you wallpaper for my computer! Thanks guys! That was cool!)
$20 each to A Distant Soil and Gunnerkrigg Court (ETA: I upped the ADS donation to $30 to make the minimum for a donation drive. Because it involes presents and you know, sure, why not :-) )
If you have some extra cash lying around at some point, don't forget to send a few bucks to the webcomic of your choice. It's like going up to them and saying "you do such great work I would like to buy you a drink" only on the internet, and just sending them the money so they can buy their own drink.
