two problems, one solution!
I had already decided, a few days ago, that for my birthday I would give money to my favorite webcomics. That sounds weird, yeah, but that's what I'm doing. I'm giving away money to celebrate my birthday (the BIG 44!) instead of asking for stuff. Go me.
And, see below post for my credit card company being very, very bad (for seriously douchbaggity levels of bad). So, now that my credit card company has incurred the Wrath of Arrrr, I have decided that I will now be using their wouldabeen $100 payment for this purpose.
I have several webcomics I read on a regular basis, some struggling, some established. I originally thought I'd divide it evenly between the comics, but instead I'm going to redistribute according to purely arbitrary reasons having to do with need. (ETA: the amounts will vary, but none of them will receive less than $10.)
So when I get the exact distribution percentages worked out, on this payday (the 15th) I'll be paypalling away.
See? Two birds, one stone. And one bird will be rich and happy and make more comics and the other will be DED FROM MESSING WITH ME.
Isn't that great? :-)
