10 Words to describe your character: loud, aggressive, exaggerated, caring, loyal, romantic, chivalrous, poser, obnoxious, cheesy

EXTENDED APPLICATION -- PLEASE DO AT LEAST A PARAGRAPH ON EACH OF THESE, UNLESS THEY ARE STATED TO BE OPTIONAL
Personality: At first glance, Trent is dumb, annoying, and rebellious. However, Trent isn't sure if this is the person that he really is. He has just become so used to playing the dumb one, the crazy one, that now he exaggerates that personality tenfold. In truth, Trent tries to do all of his schoolwork, even if he's skipped out on class for a ridiculously long amount of time. He's an excellent friend, and will not hesitate to stick up for one of someone else is picking on them (which usually resorts to physical violence) and even, if he thinks no one else is around to ruin his rep, he'll stick up for the younger kids if an older student is picking on them.

It's pretty unfortunate that not many people get to see this side of Trent, since he is usually too busy playing up being the dumb one to actually act like his real self. He doesn't stick to the typical Pureblood prejudices as an act of rebellion, though he still thinks that he is better than them and that, by talking with halfbloods and muggleborns in a sort-of nice way, he is doing them a huge favour. Since he often feels the need to exaggerate the more negative sides of his personality, he'll take it upon himself to skip as many classes as possible, to bully as many people as possible, and to generally be just as loud, annoying, obnoxious, and stupid as he possibly can. He also never, ever thinks before he speaks, which only adds to the obnoxiousness of it all.

On top of all this, Trent is very passionate about many things, but the public would only know him to be extremely passionate about these two: how much he loves Quidditch, and how much he loves the ladies. He's not very charming or smooth, however, and he has a tendency to be a pit of a romantic. Of course, no one knows about this side of Trent because he always assumes that he'll be dead before he would tell anyone that yeah, maybe he'd like to take a girl out for a candlelit dinner and boatride and not expect anything afterwards. As you can probably guess, he doesn't have much luck with the girls (though he really, really tries...)

Strengths: Both magical and personality: Despite the fact that it has the most boring professor in the world, one of Trent's favourite subjects is History of Magic. He may not often go to class but if he has to, he always makes sure that he goes to this one. He's better at the subjects where one doesn't have to use one's wand, such as HoM, Care of Magical Creatures, and most of all...Potions. Trent is a total Potions nut, though not many people know this. As for his personality, when he's not worrying about his image and reputation, Trent can be the sweetest person around. He sticks up for his friends and is actually a very respectful sort of guy when it comes to girls...as long as none of his mates are around.

Weaknesses: Both magical and personality: Magical: Trent is pretty bad when it comes to wandwork in general. Though he tries his hardest to do well in subjects like Charms and Transfiguration, that sort of thing just doesn't come easily to him. Most of the time when he tries to perform a spell it ends up going very, very wrong before he can even think about trying to attempt to do it correctly. Trent has a tendency to get just a bit carried away when it comes to general pranking and bullying, which ends up getting him into trouble more often than not. He is also overly concerned with image and the way that others perceive him, so it leads him to do some pretty ridiculous things for the sake of keeping his shining reputation.

Fears: Despite his exaggerated flirtations, Trent is pretty afraid of actually having a romantic relationship. To him, the very idea is just strange and uncomfortable and he would much rather not have to deal with it. He is also harbours a slight fear of all of his friends suddenly turning against him because he is always molding his personality to fit everyone's perceptions of him. So, he feels that once they figure him out, they won't want to be friends with him anymore. He is also mildly afraid of snakes, old dusty books (this is a weird one, yes), and sharp, pointy objects.

History: The Lexington family was once wealthy and prestigious. They were among the top in their class, turning out spectacular, successful child after successful child. And then along came Martin Lexington, who immediately took the family wealth and squandered it on all of the luxuries any Pureblood boy could hope to have. Of course, this did not sit well with the greater Lexington family. And so this small branch of the family was shunned and now Martin is working to once again reinstate this branch of the Lexington family into the greater Pureblood circles. His first attempt began with his eldest daughter, Violette, who was killed along with her mother, Amelia, in a "freak accident" at a fancy Pureblood event, which was actually a planned murder. A warning, if you will, to Martin and his family that they would never, ever be who they once were.

Now, the last hope for the Lexington family lies with two sons, Trent and Robert. Robert quickly became the favoured child. He was everything Martin could have hoped for in a son: ambitious, goal-oriented, and at the same time obedient, polite, and Martin was sure that he would be just the sort of guy who any wealthy Pureblooded girl would want to take home to Mother. Trent, on the other hand, proved himself to be somewhat of a disappointment and an embarassment to the Lexington family as a whole. During those ever-important lessons on diplomatic relations, Trent would escape the room and run wild around the house, preferring an adventure of his own making to boring old lessons. Martin soon gave up all hope on Trent and focused all of his attentions on Robert, which only made Trent act out even more. When the time came for Trent to be sent off to Hogwarts, Martin was glad to be rid of his eldest son so that he could finally tutor his youngest son in private.

Physical Description: At the least, provide base details of build, height, eye/hair colour, and complexion. Trent has longish blond hair (with random streaks of brown) and a fair complexion. He is about 5'11", brown-eyed, and has a stocky, althetic build from his Quidditch hobby.

Significant Relationships:
Family: Optional: Needless to say, Trent doesn't get along very well with his father. However, despite their differing personalities, age difference, and levels of parental approval, Trent really does like his younger brother. He does harbour some resentment towards the younger boy for being such a perfect son, which shows itself when the two are in front of large groups of people. In that case, Trent takes every opportunity he can to harass his brother. He usually tries to make up for it when no one else is around, but he isn't quite sure of his brothers feelings on the situation...
Friends: Optional: Trent is very good to his friends, unless they're the sort of friend that he feels he can only be friends with in secret. If that's the case? Watch out, because that's just a set up for hurt on either end of the relationship.
Other: Optional:

Special Considerations: Such as broom ownership, being an animagus, famous in some form, or a metamorphmagus. All are subject to mod approval. Trent owns a broom, but I want him to have been kicked off the Quidditch team or something like that during tryouts. Heh.

COMMUNITY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS -- ONLY ANSWER THE SECTION APPLICABLE TO YOUR CHARACTER
Hogwarts:
Year: 6th
House: Gryffindor
Why are they in that house? Trent is fiercely passionate about everything that he does, and really. The hat really had no other choice but to put him in Gryffindor. He has a sense of justice that often overrides his need to 'protect his reputation', and he'll recklessly charge into any situation without giving a second (or even first) thought to the consequences.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE -- PLEASE ENSURE THAT THIS IS IN THIRD PERSON NARRATIVE POINT OF VIEW

Trent usually thought of 'breakfast time' and 'sleep time' as being synonymous, and today was no different. He'd tried eating breakfast like a normal person, but had ended up falling asleep with half of his head on the plate and the other half somewhat mashed into the wood. He could vaguely feel a fork digging into his skin, but sleep was just so tempting right now and he didn't even care that someone across from him at the table was laughing, because all he wanted to do from now until forever was sleep. And after that? He would sleep some more.

His head jerked up and he gazed sleepily across the hall, mumbling something incoherent before letting his head drop back to the table--only to be stabbed in the face by the upturned fork. Wow...now that was painful. He cried out in anguish and clutched his face, even though in retrospect he would realise that it really hadn't hurt all that much. However, it was early, and Trent was tired, and he may or may not have been in the mood for dramatics.
