Naia was trying her hand at sketching the place where several hallways intersected. It was her third try in as many days, and both of her previous drawings were complete and total distasters. They frustrated her, because she could see it, she knew what she had to draw, but it just wouldn't transfer to the page. Today she was working on a line drawing of the perspective, and she sat in such a way that anyone could see her drawing -- but they still might not know what it was.

"Ravenclaw RED!" O'Neill called out, spotting a girl in the hallway, "Haven't talked to you in AGES. Must've been, what Gobstones club, my second year? Do you do that anymore? Does ANYONE do that anymore?"

He laughed and looked at her sketch pad... drawing always reminded him of Gunner.

"Hey, what's that?" he asked, poking at the paper intrusively. He was in a good mood, because he'd had a constant supply of biscuits from Twippy the last two days, and not too much trouble in his classes.

Naia jerked up from her sketching and laughed at O'Neill's nickname. "No, no one does that anymore. I think it's actually completely defunct. It's too lame for even this set of first and second years." She was actually quite fond of the first years in Ravenclaw, they hung out with her sometimes. She should probably check on Pim to see what she was up to.

Naia pointed at the intersection of the hallways. "It's supposed to be over there, but..." She sighed. Obviously it wasn't going so well.

O'Neill looked from the paper to where she pointed her finger and shrugged, "I don't exactly have an artistic eye." He cringed a bit, hoping he didn't make her feel too bad. "I'm sure, you know, when it's done it's going to look really good."

"So, er, how's things? School treating you alright?" He wanted to chang the subject, and besides, he liked talking to fourth years because they made him feel smarter. After all, he'd already done everything they were doing now.

Ashleigh made her way from the kitchen, a basket filled with fruit, pastries, rolls and several fixings draped over her arm and a smile on her face ( ... )

Breakfast had been filling, and very preparatory for a day of, well, studying. Really, Caer had nothing else to do, so he headed out of the Great Hall toward the dorm to grab his bags.

On his way, he caught a glimpse of blond hair with a load of food on her arm. Lacking social interaction for so long, he decided it would be good to talk for a while, so he caught up. Only as he reached her did he see that it was Ashleigh (approaching an unknown person probably fell into the category of unintelligent activities).

"You look like a woman on a mission," he said, coming up beside her.

Sadhana was walking the opposite direction in the hallway, and she truly was a woman on a mission. Striding along with her nose stuck in a book, not expecting to meet anyone in the hallways quite this early in the morning, especially on the last weekday before classes started back up.

She intended to turn a corner, but instead walked directly into a classmate carrying a basket.

"Hey!" she cried out, taking a clumsy step backwards. "Watch where you're going!" She didn't see Caer there at all.

Ashleigh looked over at Caer when he joined her. "I am," she answered with a smile. It had been a while since they'd really spoken but she was always happy to see an old friend. Well, truthfully, she was normally happy to see just about anyone... especially on a day like today. She opened her mouth to explain that she was taking breakfast to Ed but the words never came.

"Owww," she declared as the basket she was carrying shoved into her stomach. Certain that she hadn't just ran into a wall, she turned automatically apologizing. "I'm so sorry. I didn't..." her words trailed off when she saw who she'd ran into and how angry she was. "Sorry," she offered in a much weaker voice that she would have cared for.

Dari was heading for the staircase that would take her down to the dungeons for a quick bit of Potions work before going to her morning classes. She whistled a bit to herself as she walked, being in a fairly good mood as breakfast had been delightful and it was nearly the weekend. She'd probably do something with Jer or Tris or something.. but the important thing was it would be FUN.

Jayden headed down the hall, a slight skip in her step as she headed to class, idily twirling her wand in her fingers. Spotting Dari, she groaned softly.

"Been having fun with the mudbloods since you came back?" Jay asked as she fell into step beside her older sister, rolling her eyes.

Dari suppressed a groan and rolled her eyes at her sister.

Oi, just what I need to ruin a perfectly good mood.

"Been having fun being an absolute bitch?" she countered. In truth, Dari had mostly spent time with Jeremy and Tris, but she didn't need to defend her choices to Jay, not that doing so did any good.

"Oh, it's been a blast." She smirked, shooting Dariana a look. She knew she was a bitch, but what her dear sister failed to realize is that she didn't care.

Friday, January 6 Morning blackguardboyko July 1 2006, 03:48:33 UTC
Boyko had left the Common Room in a much better mood now that he was going to be playing board games with Vincent.

He was strolling down the hallways, still feeling slightly morose at the sinking sensation within that he was not going to get his Silken Beauty back at all.

He slumped against a wall, feeling for once in his life, at a total loss of willpower to do anything other than sulk.

Daciana was on her way to get a spot of tea in the midmorning, and to keep herself fully awake. She liked tea and she liked to be fully prepared for everything better, and so this had become something of a ritual over the years. She turned the corner, and stopped, dead in her tracks, concern on her face at the sight in front of her. Boyko, her cousin, her only family at school, was slumped against the wall and he just looked so sad.

She rushed over to him, concern on her face, and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Boyko? Are you all right?" she asked tenderly.

Boyko immediately brightened at the arrival of his cousin. "Greetings, Daciana," he said to her. He sighed dramatically, "It's just well, Taylor stole my cape!" he whined. "He stole it from me and then he used it to go after Lucas Longshore, and now my Silken Beauty is stuck to him!"

Oh, if Taylor thought he would be sleeping soundly in the dorms now, he was seriously mistaken. Seriously

Daciana held out her arms to take Boyko into a hug, feeling just so bad for him. He loved his cape; it was his favourite thing in the world and now it was gone. She had do to something, she had to get that cape back from Taylor. She just might need a little help in doing so.

But in the meantime, she spoke. "Oh, I'm so sorry, that's awful! How could he have done such a thing? It's rude and spiteful!" she said, aggravation on his behalf in her voice. "He deserves to be punished not you. I'll help you get it back."

Lorelai thought the whole Firstie Heisting business was ridiculous. I mean, who in Merlin's name would participate in such debauchery? It wasn't even fun! At all. Ever.

She roamed the halls, bored. What a slow, slow start to the last semester of her 6th year. Couldn't it just be over now? She kicked a random rock. This was not fun.

Jethro just couldn't bring himself to participate in the Firstie Heisting. He liked a lot of those kids, they were so nice, really cool little kids. The whole thing just seemed so mean-spirited. Sure, it was a tradition, but it could be very traumatizing.

He had been scoping out a new room for D&D sessions, hoping to find some place a little roomier, and cooler looking to play in. After all, wouldn't it be awesome to play D&D in a dungeon? That's what he thought.

Just as he was ducking out of yet another unsatisfactory classroom, he almost collided with another person. "Oh, sorry." He said, avoiding the collision, but remembering his manners none the less. Then he noticed who it was that he'd almost run into.

Lorelai was very content in her thoughts, ready to roam the halls until some silly Prefect thought to tell her to go back to her common room. And then she'd hex them, possibly earning a detention. Ah well, detention was no big deal.

Ugh, who just bumped--"Well well well," Lorelai said, overjoyed to see Jethro. How unusual. "When did you learn to walk?"

Jethro swallowed hard as he found himself staring at Lorelai. He didn't understand why she was such an unpleasant girl. Of all the people he could have encountered, he wished it had been almost anyone other than her.

"Gosh. You're so funny, Lorelai." He said in a huffy tone, trying to be sarcastic. He wasn't the type to come up with quick retorts, though, and unlike chatting with people, verbal sparring was not his strength.

"When did you learn to be... such... a bitch?" Once he got it out, he felt proud of himself for being so clever.
