Wednesday, October 4th - Late Evening, the Astronomy Towerderek_blyOctober 24 2007, 02:33:39 UTC
It had been a pretty good anniversary, Derek thought. Why it was that Hannah had gone to all of her classes and he'd skipped his, Derek wasn't entirely sure but hey, Potions was in the middle of the day and spending that with Hannah was more important than having her be free while he was sleeping. And yeah, there was still the parent issue and Hannah catching up so her going made sense. Anyway, Derek had dropped Astronomy but he was here now to catch Hannah as she came out of class. He wasn't quite done stealing time with her and well, he had his reasons for wanting to meet her at the tower.

Mmmm, it was late and Hannah was bored. Astronomy was much more boring this year. She wasn't sure why. As she walked out of the Astronomy lab, Hannah squinted and realized that Derek was there. How nice!
"Hey you, did you miss me so much that you couldn't wait until I got back?" Hannah teased as she let her hand find his.
Re: Wednesday, October 4th - Late Evening, the Astronomy Towerderek_blyOctober 24 2007, 04:59:12 UTC
"Something like that." Derek's hand closed around Hannah's and he pulled her closer as the rest of the class shuffled past. "Your hand is cold," he teased, bumping against her. It was a little chilly out. Kind of like it had been last year.
Derek smiled to himself and watched people leave. Honestly who wanted to stick around after Astronomy? Himself excluded, of course. "You're not too cold are you?"
Re: Wednesday, October 4th - Late Evening, the Astronomy Towerhannah_salixOctober 24 2007, 05:15:08 UTC
Hannah laughed at his comment about her cold hand. "Nope, not cold at all," she replied honestly. She was wearing a warm coat, just not gloves.
Hannah started to follow the crowd, oblivious that Derek had come here for any other reason than to walk with her back to the Common Room. It was a little odd though, as it was quite late already. Not that she'd noticed or even cared. Derek tended to do random things that she didn't understand. Plus with what today was, she could hardly question him for showing up. He didn't immediately move though, so she glanced back at him.
Wednesday, October 4th - Early EARLY morningcarlislerOctober 25 2007, 07:25:14 UTC
While the original plan had been a Tuesday morning jog, the new plan was a Wednesday morning run. While waiting, Carlisle had done a few laps to warm up his body as his shirt and trousers provided little warmth. That, and he wasn't entirely sure that he would get his normal amount of running in seeing as how Anya was joining him.
He'd fallen asleep surprisingly early Tuesday night, which meant that he was having little difficulty remaining properly awake this morning.
Re: Wednesday, October 4th - Early EARLY morningmynameisanyaOctober 25 2007, 07:28:59 UTC
Hey now. She'd been doing a lot of running herself, so she'd been able to increase her skill in this category. Hopefully he'd notice the improvement.
Anyway she jogged her way down to the pitch to join him, waving in greeting and thinking how she was glad that the rain wasn't pouring down as it had the day before -- that was, after all, the reason why they had to cancel it yesterday morning.
Re: Wednesday, October 4th - Early EARLY morningcarlislerOctober 25 2007, 07:41:45 UTC
"Hey, Anya." He'd conveniently paused in his run for a few minutes, which led to it not looking like he'd already been running. Well, maybe not looking like he'd already been running. Not the point, though, the point was the bit of running he was about to do.
"You ready?" No reason to procrastinate, after all, as every minute of procrastination would be a minute longer he could have slept. Carlisle pulled off his t-shirt as he waited for a response, ultimately intending to give her a moment to enjoy the view before they began to run.
Re: Wednesday, October 4th - Early EARLY morningmynameisanyaOctober 25 2007, 07:46:29 UTC
The fact that he had started running without her flew over her head, which was good, otherwise she would have been kind of hurt and put off by that. Screw him, you know? But thankfully she was happily oblivious to this and more than content to get the party started.
"Y--" She had been about to say yeah, of course she was ready... that was, until he TOOK OFF HIS SHIRT! What the hell?? Wasn't he aware of how COLD it was?? And... oh my... he had a nice body...
Anya snapped her eyes away, scratching her head. This was not what she needed. Not after all those rumors. The whole idea of shagging had been caught in her head, and that was NOT a good thing. "Yep. Ready. Let's go." They just needed to run already. She needed to let out some frustration, and running was a wonderful outlet for that. Yay!
Thursday, October 5th. Afternoon.mynameisanyaOctober 25 2007, 07:41:46 UTC
Anya was getting addicted to this whole running thing. Why hadn't she known it was so brilliant? It was just what she needed to get all that energy out of her system, and it made her feel so great about herself!! So it was pretty much the first thing she did once she was out of her last class for the day -- she hurried on over to her common room to put on some work out clothes and headed outside.
Thankfully she'd chosen a good time, as the off switch for the rain seemed to be on. Bleh. Scattered showers throughout the day, she had been told. Hopefully she could get in a good jog before the downpour commenced, she thought as she entered the pitch, looking around to see whether anyone else was there or not.

Tobias was just finishing up his own run. He'd gone out almost immediately after lunch in order to avoid the rain that was promised for parts of the day. The ground had been dry and the sky relatively bright but the Slytherin could see the clouds approaching in the distance and when he thought of the rain that would fall, his decision to go so fast seemed to have been the right one.
His t-shirt was stuck to him because of the ridiculous amount of sweating he was doing (getting back to peak shape was hard work!). His shorts were long, just reaching below his knees and his hair was messed and pushed back out of his eyes. Tobias looked like a scruff, but as he'd happily tell you himself, he was a sexy scruff.
The 6th year spotted Anya at the entrance of the pitch from across the way. He raised an eyebrow momentarily, wondering why on earth she had come down here. Tobias frowned. Someone had told her something, hadn't they?
Re: Thursday, October 5th. Afternoon.mynameisanyaOctober 26 2007, 21:08:40 UTC
Must he think that EVERYTHING was about him?? Anya didn't come out to the pitch specifically to find him. Hell, she hadn't come out to find him at all so he didn't need to worry about that. Actually, sorry, he did need to worry because the moment her eyes caught sight of him, her blood began to boil.
The question was, what was she going to do? She was a little fourth year girl -- tomboy with enough muscle to hold her own, but still! He was chiseled and perfect older and a bloke! So if she got physical and he didn't have gentlemanly morals of not hitting a girl(which she wouldn't put past him), then she'd be in deep trouble!!
Still... she was a bit too angry and far too impulsive to think through all of this and the possible consequences of confronting him.
"Tobias," Anya greeted with the sweetest smile she could muster as she walked over, deciding that the sickeningly nice would be a good intro, rather than just punching him right away. "I haven't seen you at all this year, how are you?" God. How she hated him.
Re: Thursday, October 5th. Afternoon.tobias_kinsellaOctober 26 2007, 21:29:23 UTC
Tobias turned and started jogging across the pitch. If she'd heard what he suspected he'd heard (her expression wasn't exactly the happiest from what he could see), Tobias was fully prepared to be hit. His wand was in the back of the waistband around his shorts. He wouldn't get physical with girls, but he'd more than happily hex the crap out of them if he thought they weren't going to stop of their own accord. Or if they threatened his face or nether regions. Neither of those areas were up for discussion, they were too precious to be damaged.
She was playing nice? Tobias frowned. "I'm fine, darlin," He replied with a smirk, motioning at himself as if it were an obvious answer to the question. "Have a good summer?" Tobias didn't have any problem playing ball, if that's how she wanted to go about it. Tobias could deal with that.

Ruth Ann had a book and big boots and a fuzzy warm scarf and she was PREPARED. There was going to be reading happening, and it was going to be reading of the fantastical sort, not the boring school type, and it was going to be GOOD and she wasn't going to let anything distract her from her destiny to reread the awesome genius of Connie Willis (which she was reading with no nefarious purposes WHATSOEVER, really).
Re: Wednesday, October 4th, afternoon 3; near the lake.zak_resoOctober 25 2007, 22:40:47 UTC
It was funny really that Zak was about run into Ruth Ann, and I mean literally run into, he was just thinking about the buddy he'd been assigned. He found it kind of odd that he still hadn't seen the kid around. It wasn't that he'd actually gone about looking for her, but that was beside the point. Usually he was pretty good at spotting people in the crowd but apparently not this gir-OW!
Zak's legs were suddenly taken from beneath him as he practically ran over what appeared to be his buddy. The tall Gryffindor crashed to the grassy ground and groaned as his breath was knocked out of him. He managed to force a weary smile at the young girl. "Hi."
Re: Wednesday, October 4th, afternoon 3; near the lake.hunter_raOctober 26 2007, 20:11:36 UTC
Well, that was something new. Usually she was the one who bumped into other people (generally because she was reading and walking at the same time again), unless Gillichu was being a klutz again, but that was Gillichu. Normally, Ruth Ann would have relished the moment, enjoying the fact that she was not, for once, at fault, but today was just not the day to be doing that. Several weeks of rain had left the ground soft and muddy underneath its deceptive grassy covering. Thus, when Ruth Ann pushed herself up, there were several muddy spots scattered all over the front of her jacket, scarf, and jeans, to say nothing of her face and hair. And book. Which had, fortunately, been closed at the time she fell. Hopefully it was salvageable.
"....hi," she replied, her tone definitely not as cheerful as it normally was.
Re: Wednesday, October 4th, afternoon 3; near the lake.zak_resoOctober 26 2007, 21:06:23 UTC
Zak noticed the spots on her clothes and bit his lip. "Sorry about that," He offered, swinging his legs off her as she stood. The Gryffindor spent a moment longer on the ground, brushing himself off as well as he could before standing up next to ther younger girl. "You're Ruth Ann, aren't you?"
He gazed at her for a moment, trying to figure out why the girl was familiar to him. Sure, he'd probably seen her around the halls and the like, but for some reason Zak felt like they'd properly met before at some point in the past. If only he could figure out from when. "I think I'm your buddy..." His voice faltered a bit at the sight of her hair. "I didn't see you."
