Like always, Gillichu was the first one to arrive for Care of Magical Creatures. He usually showed up even before the professor, partly because he was an early riser, but mostly because he was just so excited to finally be taking the class officially. He hoped they had an interesting lesson today - like on grindylows! Or aethonons! Gillichu wasn't sure about flying on brooms, but he was sure that flying on horses had to be better!

CoMC was one of J.J.'s favorite classes. Who wouldn't love a class that had animals in it? And sometimes they were bloody insane too! Almost as brilliant as Herbology in his mind, even if he wasn't as good in that class.

As usual he didn't read the board, and instead contented himself with just sitting there and staring at the odd creature. Someone had to come in and then the fun would begin, or at least they would tell him the instructions. And even if they didn't he could watch them and copy.

See? He did have some smarts after all.

Anya found her way into the classroom, not really sure what kind of a mood she was in at the moment. It was kind of an indescribable feeling. After having that talk with Derek... well, the one in which she was a brat to him, and then he ended up being his amazing self... yeah, that had been really good. It made her feel so good about herself!

So you could say she was in a right dandy mood at the moment!!

"Hey Jay," She greeted him with a warm smile, "Excited for this one as much as I am?" Anya love this class, despite her having a knack for not being too great at taking care of animals... but the magical creatures always astounded her!

Bindlegnomes? Hmm. Derek looked back at the creature on his desk after reading the assignment and had to pull it's little hands from his tie. Well, useful or not, there was a perfectly good reason for keeping this class and that was that at least it was low stress- most days. Derek was hoping for some more interesting creatures at the higher level but he was okay with working up to it. All of the other classes he'd kept had certainly picked it up so a slow class was fine by him.

"Hello there." The gnome was practically at eye level standing on the desk and he seemed rather intrigued with Derek's tie. "No, that one's mine," he instructed clearly, moving the little hands away once more. "Let's see what else we have for you, yeah?"
