ITEMS SEIZED AND ANOTHER ARREST FOR AURORS
Pureblood Adair Fenster was taken into custody by Aurors yesterday after a raid on his home yielded the discovery of a number of allegedly "dark" artifacts in the residence. Aurors remain tight lipped about the exact nature of the items seized or what lead them to investigate Fenster but they acknowledged that they were hoping to connect him to last week's anti-Muggle incident.
Like many in the wizarding community, Fenster is not known for his love of Muggles, but he claims to have been on a business trip in Dublin on the date of the house fire which killed two Muggles. Nonetheless, Aurors arrested him and seem ready to charge the twenty-nine year old for the alleged crime.
Rumor has it that head Auror Arthur MacAlaister is pushing for a quick trial- possibly because he fears that powers with more sense might let Fenster go if there is a delay.

TRIAL QUICK, BUT NOT WHAT AURORS HOPED FOR
The Wizengamot aquitted Adair Fenster early today of having any involvement in the house fire that killed two Muggles last week, telling Aurors that there was too little evidence to support their case. In fact, the court called the charge a "waste of time" and refused allow its presentation at all, so flimsy was the accusation. The court did hear evidence on the charges of possession of dangerous and restricted artifacts however and on those charges Fenster was found guilty. The pureblood is set to serve thirty days in Azkaban.
The seized items are now property of the Ministry.

EASTER HOLS FOR HOGWARTS
This coming week is a holiday for Hogwarts students, albeit a short one. As usual, students have a weeks break from classes for the Easter holiday before things gear up toward the end of the year rush. Traditionally students are given access to Hogsmeade for the week and remain at school for Easter unless they request to return home. With security concerns this year possibly limiting Hogsmeade time and some parents still nervous over November's curse it is unclear if trips home will be encouraged or not this time around. Ultimately, of course, that is a decision that will be made by parents.
With a Quidditch game scheduled for Saturday, it seems unlikely that any students will be leaving early.

REGULATION AND CONTROL OUT IN FORCE
The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures has been busy this week, preparing for a "quiet" emphasis on their field checks as another full moon approaches. A spokeswoman for the department said they were not responding to public concern, but acting based on protocol and what they believe is the best course of action.
"There have been some incidents but there is no need for panic. We are approaching this moon with caution but that's all it is, a precaution," the source said, speaking under a condition of anonymity. When asked directly whether the department expected this moon to pass uneventfully, she refused to answer.
The next full moon is due to fall on April 2, this coming Monday.
