After a blissfully busy summer and fall, it's nice to finally have some Boring Time. During the past few weeks I have barely made any plans or gone anywhere, but I've spent a lot of quality time with my couch and my mom's Netflix account and my sewing machine.
Started on this skirt, made of upholstery fabric and an old sari that my mother's friend sent when I was little for me to play dress up in. It is nearly done but I am trying to put more of that black fabric around the hem and it is Giving Me A Hard Time.
Some jewelry happened with bones, diatoms, and some shit I found at the beach:

Aimee told me to make this excellent
Manhattan clam chowder. She's usually right about these kinds of things.
Physically unable to stop producing baked goods.

We had a nice little visit to the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art for Bob's birthday. Of course Patni and I brought our dolls. Of course we giggled at this sign.
My favorite thing was the cube of pins! There is a picture at
their website but it hardly shows the piece's utilitarian yet ethereal disco ball charm.
Hanging Fire was also rather mesmerizing.
We had tea at Rebecca's house and were joined by Cat and Jen. Unicorn Loki and Farrah were not exactly on their best behavior.
I went to a Providence Bruins game a few weeks ago, with a dude I bought tires from last year. You know how I feel about children but look at this little fucker in the glasses trying to high-five the players as they head out.
