Supernatural 5 x 21 (spoilers!)
To make up for last week's meandering, this week kicked ass.
Matt Frewer was so freaking awesome he deserved his own episode. I mean, he's so weirdly jolly and it's amazing when he loses it and becomes freaky.
I FREAKING KNEW CASTIEL WAS COMING BACK. Misha was on Twitter about the episode and kept talking about a handsome detective-like man, and I knew it was him. He was so freaking adorable. But he's human and this does not bode well for Team Free Will.
I wibbled when he told Dean "You are not the burnt-out shell of a person I thought you were (paraphrase)" And Dean's all ".... thanks." Cas: :D "You're welcome!"
OMG BOBBY/CROWLEY ARE CANON AHAHAHAHAHA. Oh god, I can't believe Crowley snapped a picture of them kissing. AHAHAHA. I was ROLLING at this point. Also "I don't understand your definition of good news."
I really like the dynamic with Crowley. He's so blunt and blatantly manipulative. And didn't give a shit what people thought. I really enjoy him.
They solved the Croatoan problem very quickly, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think there was leniency in episodes that could've been tied up better to give more time for Pestilence and the Croatoan virus. Sloppy, peoples.
Death was fantastic. The actor portraying him did such an excellent job of being immortal and ageless (tho he looked old, but like he'd been born that way). I enjoyed the idea of him being chained by Lucifer (whom he calls a toddler throwing a tantrum, but he captured your ass, didn't he?) and working WITH Dean, as I wasn't sure how Dean was gonna get out of this ok.
I'm still high on Cas returning. I did not want to turn into one of those fans, but it happened somehow.
I'm happy Bobby got his walk back, but now I'm certain he will die next week. I don't know what the hell this show is going to do after the end of this season. After you've fought the devil, what's left? How much retconning can they do to keep us interested?
Everyone gets excited about Ben Edlund (I do too) but Sera Gamble wrote this wonderful episode, and looking back she wrote many excellent episodes. I hope she stays on the team and continues to bring the awesome.

Oh Season Finale - I am nervous.
