Supernatural 5 x 20 (spoilers!)
Tonight's episode: Whelming.
I enjoyed the reappearance of Crowley because MAN does Mark Sheppard have a sexy voice. I'm still wondering when Aziraphale will show up tho *insert ba-dum-da chish!*
I can only see Eric Johnson (Brady) as Callum Blue, which makes the commercials with Mr. Blue on Smallville really disconcerting. I'm like, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING MASHING THESE WORLDS?" but apparently Mr. Johnson was on Smallville as Lana's BF Whitney a billion seasons and ten gallons of dignity ago. Huh.
Sam and Dean seemed to be acting a little stupid so Crowley looks more awesome but, meh. I'm ok with it being in deference to Crowley instead of someone I don't like.
When it only showed Sam's beige sleeve shutting Dean in the bathroom I for serious thought it was Castiel and screamed at my TV. Never have I been so bitterly disappoint.
Is it just me or is Sam really really really not getting a handle on the sanity thing? When Dean watched him kill Brady, I think something broke a little. I'm nervous for their mental health (well, as much as there is left over).
I was yelling at Bobby at the end (so what, I yell, ok?) because baby boy did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday. He best be careful around the sauntered-vaguely-downwards demon (ok ok enough Good Omens references).
Was it just me or was there a significant lack of urgency in this episode? There's only two left and everything still felt "Oh well, we have a whole half-season to wrap all this up." Uh, no you don't Kripke, get it together son!
They're gonna whack Pestilence AND Death next episode? Is the season finale two hours long? (PLEASE BE TWO HOURS PLEASE) This episode just seemed very slow and mostly useless, especially for so late in the game. I don't know what's going on.
P.S. I'm leery of a season six. I want it, but I really really don't want it. Can't we just end it on a high note? One involving Misha Collins (is my bias showing? ;)
