Both Christmas and the night before were bizarre, and I didn't enjoy them like I probably should have. I love being here, and I'm happy, but I wish I could transplant Derrick here and make this a permanent home that I wasn't going to be leaving in six months for college. I wore the dress today, and everyone loved it.

Kai and I still aren't technically back together, We're better, but I don't think we're actually right for eachother... which makes me think that maybe we shouldn't get back together at all.

I spent all day today drawing and painting with my cousins. Considering that I haven't had a single art lesson since the fifth grade, I'd say that what I produced was reasonably okay.

It feels sort of wrong to be standing here right now.
It feels sort of wrong to run away and try to escape everything.
I miss my dad.
At first it didn't seem like everything had changed, but everything has changed.
( I miss late night stories and Peter Pan peanut butter. )

 AP exams are well underway. I've already trudged through Calculus and Computer Programming, but I've still got US History, Biology, and English to go. It's a headache and I'll be the first to admit that I probably did it to myself. It's about an hour before we have to leave for the airport.

I'm not entirely sure if the sickening feeling that I've got in my stomach is there because I didn't accomplish what I'd set out to, if it's because I'm just not ready to go, or if it's a strong combination of the two.
