Reiko glanced back at Alx, who was still trying to convince her not to enter the tournament.  Considering she sill had bandages around her stomach, normally she would agree with him.  the bandages were there because of one of her grandfather's men.  She hadn't told Logan about why she had come, just that it was a mission.

She remembered them bringing her back.  opening her eyes she saw all too familiar lights above her.  Still hurt to move, but she got up anyway.  making it back to her room, her kitten was waiting.  She scooped him up, sinking to the floor by the wall as it hit again.  She had killed him.  If she had stayed quiet he would have been fine.
