Wow...
I haven't had a weekend like that in a loooong time. I blame it on the winter, and the general crappiness of this year. If I had any shame left, I might at least regret some of it - but it was a blast! Still - all I ask is that if anything goes up on youtube, someone sends me the link.
So:
-21st on friday (which I think just about everyone I know has heard about by now) - it was a good night :D
-Grey Lynn Park festival during the day (good sun, good company) where I got a henna tattoo
-another (albeit alchohol-free) 21st on sat which had lots of swedish 80s bubblegum pop disco funk and some awesome cake!
Now I have to suffer the return of weekday boredom and drudgery...
I can't even have a summer fling cos I'm off to Wgtn (ugh) in 2 weeks :( :(
Still - going overseas for a month in Dec/Jan :D Going to visit family etc, but this time I'm finally old enough (and sufficiently fluent in the relevant language) to cut loose and go do my own thing!! Definitely looking forward to that - as well as finally a semblance of summer.
Insurance update:
They said they wouldn't cover me under my mum's policy, but they'll do me retroactive insurance. I pay everything I would have paid had I gotten it at the beginning of the year (which is like, a couple of hundred) - and they give me insurance. Works out pretty neatly, and it's probably what we'd have done anyway.
