I just got the results of the biopsy, and it came back negative; no evidence of cancer. There is still a slight possibility that the radiologist will say, "I'm still suspicious; let's do another biospy." However, at this point I'm cleared until they tell me otherwise.

I had an MRI last Wednesday to see if I'd need a biopsy. My doctor called today with the results and said I have a 1.5 centimeter nodule near the site of my original cancer that seems to be growing quickly. As it turns out, there is something suspicious at the site of my original breast cancer, and I'll need a biopsy to see if the cancer has returned.

This really sucks.

Sixth months ago, I had my five-year mammogram which showed no evidence of disease in my left breast, where I'd originally had breast cancer. (Yay!) However, they found an anomaly in my right breast, and said to come back in six months to see if it had changed. That appointment is tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I passed my fifth year cancer screening with no evidence of disease. While I'll never truly be "out of the woods," I do feel more confident in moving forward. The nurse told me that if the irregularity on the mammogram had truly been suspicious, they would have done an ultrasound on the spot.
