Seven years ago today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. As of my recent MRI there is no evidence of disease. Thank you to everyone who supported me through that trying time. I could not have gotten through without each and every one of you.

I just got the results of the biopsy, and it came back negative; no evidence of cancer. There is still a slight possibility that the radiologist will say, "I'm still suspicious; let's do another biospy." However, at this point I'm cleared until they tell me otherwise.

This morning my sister-in-law passed away from leukemia. Kristin was 40 years old, an artist, mother to a 10-year-old, and wife to my brother. She'd led an amazing life. She's been to Costa Rica and India, attended the Woodstock reboot, sailed and scuba dived, written a book, and was friends with Hollywood actors ( Read more... )

My sister-in-law's illness is terminal. According to the doctors she has six weeks at most to live. She's on a respirator in the hospital; she can't go home again because any infection would kill her immediately ( Read more... )
