When did F'nor rape someone? I don't remember that in the series? *raised eyebrow*

In Dragonquest, F'nor forces himself sexually on the virgin Brekke, in theory to protect her from the rougher men of Southern Weyr. Brekke says no, struggles, and "unaccountably" fights F'nor, so F'nor isn't "gentle" as he'd hoped to be. That's supposedly Brekke's fault for fighting him. The scene is played as romance, but I, unsurprisingly, was appalled.

McCaffrey is an utter genius at world-building, but her characterizations leave a bit to be desired.
