lots of stuff happening in the next couple months...

Holly is coming up in two weeks for a few nights in MQT
We're going to Tahquamenon Falls with friends and my sister's family to camp August 7-8
August 15th is my friend Corey's wedding in MQT
August 17-23 we're going on a road trip. First Milwaukee to Brandon Erkilla's to see Metric again at the Rave. He called me up and said he'd buy the tickets we just had to come down so hell yes!

From Milwaukee we're headed to my sister's for a couple days, then to Sarah's parents for a couple days, then back to MQT and classes start on the 24th.

Its a lot of travel but its gonna be a good time, perfect way to end the summer I think.

I think I've definitely found a calling with the Libertarian Party. I was looking at their website the other day and saw they had a volunteer section so I clicked it and signed up to volunteer. The very next day, I got an email from the Vice Chair of the Michigan branch and it wasn't an automated email, it was a personal email from him, and not only was he happy I offered to volunteer, he asked me what I wanted to do, and said if I needed help he would personally come up to Marquette to help get things going. How cool is that?

So I told him that NMU used to have a college libertarians group and that Dr. Ball was the sponsor, and I wanted to help get that going again. He said if I could do that and get some members, that he would come up to NMU and speak on our behalf and help organize events.

I also told him that I've thought a lot about running for office one day but didn't know where to start and he said if I had any questions just ask and that he didn't know what he was doing either when he first started out.

This was completely unexpected for me, especially since I've written Carl Levin and Bart Stupak quite a few times about bills in congress and all I've ever gotten back was an automated response.

The libertarian party is pretty big, 3rd largest political party in America but they still take the time to answer all their emails personally. I think that shows how much they care about you, unlike the democrats and republicans.
