Thanks to the hundreds of you that e-mailed BT about our broadband problems, I can now confirm that BT reconnected our service at 9.30 a.m. today.
BT's complaints dept were inundated with e-mails about their mistake and acted promptly for once to sort it out. Shame they don't act promptly UNLESS they get hundreds of complaints!
Ofcom, the telecoms regulator, have also "escalated" the complaint to BT which is now in the hands of the "BT Ofcom referals team" lol! Can you believe they get so many complaints that they have their own Ofcom complaints unit lol!
It is worth Googling "BT complaints" and seeing what comes up - it is amazing that this company has survived at all, with all the complaints about them. Truth is, they have the monoply on phone lines so they have no competition other than areas that have cable, which unfortunately we do not!
We are still awaiting our "Mac code" allowing us to leave BT and move to a more reliable company, but I guess we've only been waiting three months so far so we shouldn't complain lol!
Needless to say, we WILL be seeking compensation from BT even though they tell us that their "code of conduct" and "terms and conditions" do not accept claims for compensation lol!
